Financial Care for Families Facing Childhood Cancer
When a child is in treatment, everyday bills don’t stop. Strong Like AK offers financial care to help ease the burden so families can focus on what matters most, their child.

Help When It's Needed Most
Childhood cancer impacts more than a child’s health; it affects an entire family’s stability. Time away from work, travel for treatment, and unexpected expenses can quickly become overwhelming.

Strong Like AK’s Financial Care program helps cover essential expenses so families can focus on their child’s care without the added stress of financial strain.

What Financial Care May Include
Housing - Related Expenses
Rent or mortgage assistance
Utilities
Electric, water, gas, or similar essentials
Transportation Cost
Car payments or related expenses
Other Essential Needs
Support reviewed on a case-by-case basis
How to Request Financial Care
Financial Care requests are coordinated through a family’s hospital social work team.

If your family may benefit from financial assistance, please speak with your child’s social worker. The social work team will connect with Strong Like AK to share the request and begin the review process.

Once a referral is received, our team works closely with social work to provide support as quickly and thoughtfully as possible.
Why Financial Care Matters
For families facing childhood cancer, financial stress can be overwhelming. A helping hand with everyday expenses can provide stability, dignity, and breathing room during an incredibly hard time.

This support exists in honor of Adam Kincaid and the compassion his family experienced — and it continues because a caring community believes no family should have to choose between bills and their child’s care.
